We had a fun photo shoot before Christmas and we got all of the shots recently and I have been meaning to post them. Our friend Katherine does such a great job of capturing our kids through her lens. These were for our Christmas shots and for Olivia's four months shots. She also did a graeat post on her blog comparing Olivia to Levi (http://www.furnishedphotography.com/) at this age. Levi still loves his guitar and playing Zac Brown. We are having such fun with Olivia as she gets more interactive every day. We are amazed to see her personality come alive. Levi still adores her and we are really thankful to have two great kids!

We spent Christmas Eve with Tom's family. We had a lovely dinner celebrating with the all the Petersons. I didn't get a good picture of all of the big boys who were enjoying all of their new toys and wrestling with Uncle Tom. But the new cousins enjoyed their night and spent about ten minutes just staring at each other. What a precious shot.

This weekend we spent some Christmas cheer with family. We went and visited the newly renovated Pullen Park. So fun to see a place where I used to enjoy playing is now a wonderful place for Levi and Olivia to play when we visit family. Levi loved riding the choo choo.

Christmas at FBC

Earlier this month we went and celebrated Christmas at church. Each year they put on an unrehearsed Nativity play. It was so special. Levi dressed up as a "king" and got to take baby Jesus a present. He kept calling out "Jesus" and it was so sweet. He also yelled out a few "Moses" when he saw the shepherds. We had to explain that now we are in the New Testament, we gave him some slack since he is two! What a beautiful and special morning.

We had a meeting at church tonight and afterwards Levi asked to go "shoot..." we love living so close to our church's activity center and to be able to take advantage of this basketball court. Oh how we love it when we get to see the Spillars twins... Greyson and Connor. They came over to see us last weekend with their mommy and grandma. What a fun visit. Their mom Megan has been in the "Peterson Family" since Hawaii trip during our freshmen year... we have come a long way... a total of 4 kids! We loved how protective Greyson was of Olivia so much that Levi needed to give him a big hug!

Our little girl is 3 months old. We went to Airlie again for her monthly shots in Halloween gear! I thought it would be fun to see how small she is next to the big Airlie Oak. Levi decided that playing tennis was more fun than pictures. This is his favorite new sport! Our boy loves anything that involves a ball! He was quick to get a hang of it.

Olivia and I go and get Levi from his crib when he wakes up if she is awake. He loves it and asks for "baby" to lay on his pillow. She seems to enjoy it too. Look at that smile. Brandon came home just in time to capture these shots. One day I am sure neither of them will be smiling but for now its fun to watch them enjoy each other!

Levi had his 2 year old check up yesterday. 90% in height and weight. And top of the charts in head measurement. No surprise to us!

Levi still loves to play his guitar. He wants to bring it wherever he goes. And if he doesn't have his guitar he asks for a pic and pretends that anything is a guitar. The other day we were at the Teeter and he took the Coke fridge pack and starting strumming it. He got a guitar strap from Gaga and Papa for his birthday. We have been going to playdates with friends from church on Fridays. Yesterday Olivia finally got to play and join in on the fun. One thing that I love about Levi is that he loves to "place" people. Our little guy turned two yesterday. We had such a good day celebrating him. Olivia and I started by greeting him in the morning. Olivia wanted to join him in his crib. Levi loves when we do this. Then we went to the Children's Museum. He loves driving the bus and this time he painted too. We then had a little party with his cousins who helepd him blow out his candles and eat cupcakes. Uncle Tom and Olivia were also there, love this picture of them looking at each other. After nap we had the Griffin girls over to celebrate too. We had fun watching him open his presents, a concept he is beginning to understand which makes it so fun. He loved his new "airplane" and pilot hat. Then the night was complete by him watching the Zac Brown DVD concert with dada. He loves watching guitars. We can't beleive two years have gone by we are so proud of him and love being his parents. We look forward to what this year has in store for him!

Our household hasn't gotten into Olivia the Pig yet but maybe one day we will so for now we will use it as a picture background.

Yesterday was my birthday and it was such a special day. We enjoyed the morning and afternoon at the beach and at lunch. Later that evening Brandon and I had a fun date night thanks to the Griffin family for babysitting. At the beach Levi loved wearing his glasses, kicking the ball with dada, and holding his sister. Meanwhile, Olivia enjoyed her nap on the beach. We can't get over how much she sleeps. I enjoyed being with my husband and my sweet children. Brandon gave me these necklaces symbolizing Levi as an oak tree and Olivia as a flower. We will post a you tube video with pictures of our family soon with a song called "Trees and Flowers." I had to take a shot of Levi's summer hair too. One day I think I will look back on this picture and can't believe how blonde his hair was when he was 2. I am very thankful for this past year and look forward to what this year has in store.

Our buddy Oliver is undergoing brain surgery this week. He is in Boston and our prayers are with him. Follow his story on their blog, http://lanierlanding.blogspot.com/. We went over there last week to give our hugs and they boys had a great time. Oliver thought it would be fun to ride on the Plasma car with Levi. Quite a load on that little car. After we had an "Oliver Dance" party... clearly Levi was having fun. We love you Ollie!

Yesterday Olivia was 2 weeks old. She was celebrated at our friends house. Love this cake. Such a great idea. Why not monogram a fruit cake? There were a lot of kids there each couple had a toddler and a new little one for a total of 8 kids under 4. It was a great night celebrating OAA.
